{"type"=>"root", "children"=>[{"type"=>"paragraph", "children"=>[{"type"=>"text", "value"=>"Mount Gay is the oldest still-operating rum distillery in the world, Barbadian, established 1703. The Black Barrel takes the house's blended rum and finishes it in heavily charred ex-bourbon casks, which is where the smoke and the darker weight come from."}]}]}
How it tastes

The nose is toasted oak, vanilla, smoke. The palate is darker and weightier than Mount Gay's lighter expressions, the charred-cask finish pushing the oak and a soft smoke forward. Neat, or in an old fashioned.
