Planteray is the rum-house wing of the Cognac firm Maison Ferrand, blending Trinidadian and Barbadian rums in a Caribbean-then-French two-stage ageing process. Cask-aged tropically, then finished in the firm's Pierre Ferrand cognac cellars in Cognac itself. The Original Dark is the cocktail-builder of the range. Tiki Dark Stormys, Mai Tais, anywhere a dark dry rum is the right tool.
