Accessibility

Built to be reached.

The store is designed for everyone who wants to use it. Here is the technical commitment, and how to flag what is not working.

Bellyful is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at AA level. Every interface decision we make is checked against that benchmark; where we fall short, we treat it as a defect to fix, not a feature to debate.

What we do

Contrast. Every text-on-background pair on the site meets the AA contrast minimums for its size. The brand palette was tuned during the build to clear AA on text and foreground pairs; tier badges and editorial accents are likewise tested.

Keyboard navigation. Every interactive element on the site is reachable by keyboard alone. Focus rings are visible. Tab order follows reading order.

Screen readers. Headings are nested by level, not by visual weight. Images carry alt text. Decorative ornaments are marked aria-hidden so they do not distract from the content underneath.

Reduced motion. Hover and scroll animations respect the prefers-reduced-motion preference. If you have animation turned off in your operating system, the site stays still.

Where we are not yet there

Some long-form copy is still being audited for plain-language clarity. Some producer photography is not yet captioned with descriptive alt text; the audit and rewrite are in flight.

Reporting issues

If you hit a barrier on the site, write to hello@belly.ful.kn with the page URL, your browser and assistive technology, and a short description. We aim to acknowledge within one working day and resolve within five.
