The brand caught its second wind in 1903 under Don Pepin Fernandez, a promoter who travelled the world to make Romeo y Julieta the most internationally recognised Habanos brand of its era. Winston Churchill visited the Havana factory in 1946 and made the brand his daily smoke; the Romeo Churchill vitola is named for him.
